HUMBLE BEGINNING

By the middle of the 20th century, the city of Ahmedabad had developed as an industrial centre  and chief products here were textiles. The residents here by and large formed lower middle class. The unhealthy economic condition caused apathy  among people for education.

The painful situation in the region moved some young Muslim intellectuals to action. They started free group tuition classes in the Jamalpur locality of Ahmedabad. The classes at first were begun under the lamp-posts in the streets. Later, shifted to the rented accommodation. Hundreds of School going boys and girls took advantage of the coaching. This yielded good results. Residents in the area welcomed the efforts and extended their whole-hearted support.

Solidifying the activities, the organizers of the tuition classes decided to establish a Society (Public Trust) formally. Accordingly THE FALAH-E- DARAIN EDUCATION SOCIETY (for brevity : THE F.D.EDUCATION SOCIETY) was instituted at Ahmedabad. It was got registered as a Public Trust vide No. F/335/Ahmedabad dated 29-1-1968 and as a Society vide No. Guj./255/Ahmedabad dated 29-1-1968. The object is to promote education and skills among youth of the community enabling them to come forward as is the need of the day.

PROGRESS BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS

The first Govt. recognized School with primary and secondary sections was launched at Jamalpur Ahmedabad, in the year 1971. With abounding favour of the Almighty and kind and generous help and co-operation of the well-wishers, the Society has made rapid progress. Schools and Colleges were set up one after the other.
